The short version

StayCompare is a planning tool, not a booking service.
Check every price, detail, and availability before booking.
Anyone with a share link can open the trip, vote, and read notes.
Use the service for trips—not scraping, spam, or unlawful content.

Planning, not booking

StayCompare collects rental links, presents listing information side by side, and gives your group a place to vote and leave notes. The organizer still chooses the winner.

We do not take payments, reserve properties, contact hosts, or participate in your booking. Any booking is made on the platform hosting the listing and is governed by that platform’s terms.

StayCompare is not affiliated with or endorsed by Airbnb, Vrbo, or any other rental platform.

Prices and listing information

A price on StayCompare is a snapshot for the dates and party size supplied when we fetched it. Availability, prices, fees, taxes, and listing details can change or be wrong. Listing information comes from platforms and hosts; we do not independently verify it.

Use StayCompare totals to compare options, not as a quote. Confirm the final price, property details, rules, and availability on the rental platform before booking.

Organizers sign in with Google and are responsible for activity from their signed-in sessions. Keep your account secure.

Share links are unlisted, not secret. Anyone holding or receiving one can view the trip, vote, and read signed notes. If a link travels farther than intended, the organizer should rotate it. Do not add anything you would mind a link holder reading.

Display names are not verified, and voting is not tamper-proof. StayCompare is a casual trip-planning tool, not a system for high-stakes decisions.

What you add

You keep ownership of trip names, notes, and other content you write. You give StayCompare permission to store, copy, process, back up, and display that content as needed to operate the service and share the trip with the people you invite.

StayCompare may also create aggregate, de-identified insights as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of rental listings or platform content.

Use it reasonably

Please do not:

automate, scrape, overload, disrupt, or work around limits on the service;
add unlawful, abusive, infringing, or private information you cannot share;
access a trip without permission or interfere with someone else’s trip;
impersonate someone, manipulate voting, or misrepresent the service; or
resell, rebrand, or copy StayCompare without permission.

Availability and responsibility

StayCompare is early software. It may change, be unavailable, lose data, or stop working with a rental platform. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

StayCompare is not responsible for hosts, properties, bookings, rental platforms, or decisions made from third-party listing information. We remain responsible where the law says we cannot exclude responsibility, and these terms do not limit consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Changes and ending access

We may change or discontinue the service, remove content, or suspend access when needed to protect StayCompare, its users, or other people—or when these terms are broken.

We will update the effective date when these terms change. If a change is material, we will explain it before it takes effect. You can stop using StayCompare at any time and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
